In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.

ASSALAMALIKUM BROTHER & SISTER.

What Can You Do In 10 Minutes?

Here is a list of 10 things that would not take more than 10 minutes of our time. And if we truly understood the happiness these actions bring in this life and the next, we would spend our life in dedication to these deeds:

#10. Pray 2 rakaat (Salat-ul-Duha) anytime after sunrise and before Salat-ul-Dhuhr
Abu Huraira (Radi-Allahu-anhu) reported: My khaleel, Allah's Messenger (SallAllahu 'alayhi wa'alihi wa'sallam) has instructed me to do three things: (1) three fasts during every month, (2) two rak'ahs of the forenoon prayer, and (3) observing Witr prayer before going to bed. [Sahih Muslim: Book 004, Chapter Number 107, Hadith Number 1558].

#09. Pray for Rasul Allah (SallAllahu 'alayhi wa'alihi wa'sallam)
Abu Huraira (Radi-Allahu-anhu) reported: The Messenger of Allah (SallAllahu 'alayhi wa'alihi wa'sallam) said: "He who blesses me once, Allah would bless him ten times." [Sahih Muslim: Book 004, Chapter Number 015, Hadith Number 808].

#08. Repeat what the mu'adhdhin is saying
Narrated Abdullah ibn Amr ibn al-'As (Radi-Allahu-anhu): A man said: Apostle of Allah (SallAllahu 'alayhi wa'alihi wa'sallam), the mu'adhdhins excel us. The Apostle of Allah (SallAllahu 'alayhi wa'alihi wa'sallam) said: "Say (the same words) as they say, and when you come to the end, make a petition and that will be granted to you." [Sunan Abu-Dawud: Book 2, Hadith Number 524].

#07. Say Subhan-Allah - How far Allah is from imperfection! –100 times
Mus'ab ibn Sa'd (Radi-Allahu-anhu) reported that his father told him that he had been in the company of Allah's Messenger (SallAllahu 'alayhi wa'alihi wa'sallam) that he said: Is one amongst you powerless to get one thousand virtues every day. Amongst those who had been sitting there, one asked: How one amongst us can get one thousand virtues every day? He said: Recite: "Subhan-Allah" one hundred times for (by reciting them) one thousand virtues are recorded (to your credit) and one tbousand vices are blotted out. [Sahih Muslim: Book 035, Chapter Number 010, Hadith Number 6517].

#06. Play with your children for the sake of Allah
Jabir (Radi-Allahu-anhu) narrates: We were with Allah's Messenger (SallAllahu 'alayhi wa'alihi wa'sallam) on our way to an invitation to a meal when we passed Al-Husayn playing in the alley with some Ansar children. Allah's Messenger () walked a little faster to go and play with him. He stuck out his hand to take him, but Al-Husayn ran here and there squealing gleefully until Allah's Messenger caught him. Then he (SallAllahu 'alayhi wa'alihi wa'sallam) held his chin with one hand and his head with the other and kissed Al-Husayn and hugged him [Al-Adab al-Mufrad by Al-Bukhari: Chapter 19, Number 170].

#05. Make du’a often during times of ease
Rasul Allah (SallAllahu 'alayhi wa'alihi wa'sallam) said, "Whoever it pleases that Allah answer his supplications during times of calamity and hardship, let him increase his supplication amidst the times of ease" [Sunan al-Tirmidhi and Al Hakim]

Bonus: Say the Dhikr after Making Wudu
Rasul Allah (SallAllahu 'alayhi wa'alihi wa'sallam) said, "If anyone of you, after perfecting his wudu, says, 'Ash hadu an laa ilaaha illAllah, wa ashhadu anna Muhammadan 'Abduhu wa Rasooluh (I bear witness that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is his slave and Messenger), the eight gates of Jannah will open for him and he will be permitted to enter from whichever he wishes" [Sahih Muslim: Book 002, Chapter Number 004, Hadith Number 451]

#04. Pick up the phone to call your mother (or a close relative) and tell them that you love them
Rasul Allah (SallAllahu 'alayhi wa'alihi wa'sallam) said, "The Wasil (One who fulfils the rights of his ties of kinship) is not the one who does good when family members do good (and bad when they are bad). The Wasil is the one who, when family members cut him off he does good to them" (Interpretation of Al-Bukhari).

#03. Take a few minutes to stop and contemplate Allah's amazing creation, of your eyes, voice, and entire body
Allah says in the Qur'an:
"And on the earth are signs for those who have Faith with certainty. And also in your ownselves, will you not then see (and contemplate)?" (Surah Ad-Dhariyat: Chapter Number 051, Ayat 20-21)

#02. Share a part of your lunch with someone
Abu Dharr reported Allah's Messenger (SallAllahu 'alayhi wa'alihi wa'sallam) as saying: "Abu Dharr, when you prepare the broth, add water to that and give that (as a present) to your neighbour." [Sahih Muslim: Book 032, Chapter Number 40, Hadith Number 6357]

And the number one deed you can do in less then 10 minutes...

#01. Make du'a for your brother in his absence
Rasul Allah (SallAllahu 'alayhi wa'alihi wa'sallam) said, “If a person prays for his (or her) brother in their absence (without them knowing), an angel (hears the du'a) and replies, ‘Ameen! And may Allah give you the same” (Musnad Ahmad and Sunan al-Tirmidhi).

In fact, whenever the Sahaabah and Taabi'een wanted their du'a to be answered quickly, they would ask the same thing for their brother in order to get the angel to reply, ‘Ameen! And may Allah give you the same.’

In sha Allah, let's all try at the very least to find one deed from this list and implement it in this coming week. After it has become habit, try another deed and so on. This is how we can all grow.

JAZAKALLAH KHAIR

ISTI`ADHAH (seeking Refuge)

What does Isti`adhah mean :

Isti`adhah means, "I seek refuge with Allah from the cursed Satan so that he is prevented from affecting my religious or worldly affairs, or hindering me from adhering to what I was commanded, or luring me into what I was prohibited from.'' Indeed, only Allah is able to prevent the evil of Satan from touching the son of Adam. This is why Allah allowed us to be lenient and kind with the human devil, so that his soft nature might cause him to refrain from the evil he is indulging in. However, Allah required us to seek refuge with Him from the evil of Satan, because he neither accepts bribes nor does kindness affect him, for he is pure evil. Thus, only He Who created Satan is able to stop his evil. This meaning is reiterated in only three Ayat in the Qur'an. Allah said in Surat Al-A`raf,

"(Show forgiveness, enjoin what is good, and turn away from the foolish
(i.e. don't punish them)" (7:199)

This is about dealing with human beings. He then said in the same Surah,

"And if an evil whisper comes to you from Shaytan, then seek refuge with Allah.
Verily, He is Hearing, Knowing "(7: 200)

Allah also said in Surat Al-Mu'minun,

Repel evil with that which is better. We are Best-Acquainted with
the things they utter. And say: "My Lord! I seek refuge with You
from the whisperings (suggestions) of the Shayatin (devils).
And I seek refuge with You, My Lord! lest they should come near me.''
(23:96-98).

Further, Allah said in Surat As-Sajdah

"The good deed and the evil deed cannot be equal. Repel (the evil)
with one which is better, then verily he, between whom and you
there was enmity, (will become) as though he was a close friend.
But none is granted it (the above quality) except those who are patient
ـ and none is granted it except the owner of the great portion
(of happiness in the Hereafter, i.e. Paradise and of a high moral
character) in this world. And if an evil whisper from Shaytan
tries to turn you away (from doing good), then seek refuge in Allah.
Verily, He is the Hearing, the Knowing" (41:34-36).

Virtues of the Isti`adhah:

The Isti`adhah cleanses the mouth from the foul speech that it has indulged in. It also purifies the mouth and prepares it to recite the speech of Allah. Further, the Isti`adhah entails seeking Allah's help and acknowledging His ability to do everything. The Isti`adhah also affirms the servant's meekness, weakness and inability to face the enemy of his inner evil, whom Allah alone, Who created this enemy, is able to repel and defeat. This enemy does not accept kindness, unlike the human enemy. There are three Ayat in the Qur'an that affirm this fact. Also, Allah said,

"Verily, My servants (i.e. the true believers of Islamic Monotheism)
ـ you have no authority over them. And sufficient is your
Lord as a Guardian." (17:65)

We should state here that the believers, whom the human enemies kill, become martyrs, while those who fall victim to the inner enemy - Satan - become bandits. Further, the believers who are defeated by the apparent enemy - disbelievers - gain a reward, while those defeated by the inner enemy earn a sin and become misguided. Since Satan sees man where man cannot see him, it is befitting that the believers seek refuge from Satan with Whom Satan cannot see. The Isti`adhah is a form of drawing closer to Allah and seeking refuge with Him from the evil of every evil creature.

~MUKJIZAT AZAN~

Pesanan Semasa Mendengar Azan...

Amin..amin..amin Yarobbal a'lamin.."

WASIAT NABI MUHAMMAD S.A.W. kepada SAIDINA ALI R.A.;
Wahai Ali, bagi orang 'ALIM itu ada 3 tanda2nya:

1) Jujur dalam berkata-kata.
2) Menjauhi segala yg haram.
3) Merendahkan diri.

Wahai Ali, bagi orang yg JUJUR itu ada 3 tanda2nya:
1) Merahsiakan ibadahnya.
2) Merahsiakan sedekahnya.
3) Merahsiakan ujian yg menimpanya.

Wahai Ali, bagi org yg TAKWA itu ada 3 tanda2nya:
1) Takut berlaku dusta dan keji.
2) Menjauhi kejahatan.

ARGUMENTS worst sort of conversations part 2

SOME POINTS TO REMEMBER IF WE ARE INVOLVED IN AN ARGUMENT:
(whether here on the Internet or in person)

1. "Invite (all) to the way of thy Lord with wisdom and beautiful preaching; and argue with them in ways that are best and most gracious: for thy Lord knoweth, best who have strayed from His Path, and who receive guidance." (The Qur'an 16.125).

First of all, if the topic of dispute is not an Islamic one, then it is better to be quiet and not waste our time and effort on something that is not beneficial. If it is in regards to Islam, then as the above Ayah states, we must be polite and choose our words carefully. We should not insult, curse, swear, or get angry. We should always remember that we are representing how a Muslim behaves to everyone around us [i.e. adults and kids]. We should not do anything to blemish the image of an Ideal Muslim.

2. We should keep an open mind. Sometimes because of our limited knowledge, we believe that our opinion is the correct one. However, it could be that the other person's argument could actually be the Truth.

3. We should not assume that there is only one correct answer. There are many topics that have different opinions between the Scholars. We may believe one to be true, but that does not mean the other person is wrong. However, what is stated as Haram is Haram, Halal is Halal, and doubtful is better to avoid as per the below Hadith:

Prophet Muhammad [SallAllahu Alayhi Wasallam] is reported to have said:"Halal is clear and Haram is clear; in between these two are certain things that are suspected. Many people may not know whether those items are Halal or Haram. Whosoever leaves them, he is innocent towards his religion and his conscience. He is, therefore, safe. Anyone who gets involved in any of these suspected items, he may fall into the unlawful and the prohibited. This case is similar to the one who wished to raise his animals too close to a restricted area, so that the animals may step into that area. Indeed for every landlord there is a restricted area. Indeed the restriction of Allah are the Haram." (Sahih Bukhari & Sahih Muslim)

4. Our intention should only be to inform the other person of the Truth. It should not be to make them think that we are right, or that we are very knowledgeable, or to make them feel inferior.

5. We should only provide guidance given in the Qur'an and Hadith with reference in regards to the topic of dispute. We should not include our personal opinions or present day scenarios. We should remember that Islam is a perfect religion for all times.

6. Lastly, if we do not have any knowledge of the topic, then we should not try to get involved just for the sake of argument. This will not only take a lot of our time and effort, but in the end it might make us lose some respect in the minds of others.

Finally, we should always remember this Hadith when we are involved in an argument:

"I guarantee a house in Jannah for one who gives up arguing, even if he is in the right; and I guarantee a home in the middle of Jannah for one who abandons lying even for the sake of fun; and I guarantee a house in the highest part of Jannah for one who has good manners.'' (Sunan Abu Dawud)

May Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala) help us All in keeping away from time and energy wasting arguments, and allow us to be one of those who help others as well as themselves in following the guidance given in the Qur'an and Hadith in our daily manners. Ameen.

Arguments..The worst sort of conversations!

These days it's a common sight to see people arguing via comments on many of the Islamic pages on the Internet. While reading such comments, it makes us wonder at many times if the person is arguing for the sake of proving their point, or rather for the Truth to be known.

If the argument is for the sake of proving their point only, then this is what is said in the Hadith:
“Whoever sought knowledge for the purpose of using it
to compete with the learned or showing ability to be contentious
with stupid people, or to draw people’s attention to him,
Allah will put him in hell.”
(Authenticated by Al-Tarmidhī, on the relation of Ka‘b Ibn Mālik)

If the argument is rather for the Truth to be known, then this is what is said in the Qur'an:

"Let there be no compulsion in religion.
Truth stands out clear from Error; whoever rejects Evil
and believes in Allah hath grasped the most trustworthy hand-hold,
that never breaks. And Allah heareth and knoweth all things."
(The Qur'an: 2.256)

"So (O Prophet) exhort them (to the right path).
(for) Your task is only to exhort.
You cannot compel them (to accept the truth).
Whosoever turns away and disbelieves,
Allah will punish him with a mighty punishment.
Surely to Us they will have to return,
then it will be upon Us to call them to account (for what they used to do)."
(The Qur'an: 88.21-26)

According to the above Ayat, we should only let the Truth be known but not enforce it on anyone because the Truth is self-apparent. In the end, we can only pray that Allah [Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala] guides them to the right path.

When we argue, the devil joins us!

Once the Prophet [SallAllahu Alayhi Wasallam] was sitting with his Companions, and one person used insulting words against Abu Bakr [Radhiallahu 'Anhu] causing him pain. But Abu Bakr [Radhiallahu 'Anhu] remained silent. The person again used bitter words against Abu Bakr [Radhiallahu 'Anhu], and still Abu Bakr [Radhiallahu 'Anhu] did not respond. The third time when this ignorant person hurt Abu Bakr [Radhiallahu 'Anhu] with his tongue, Abu Bakr [Radhiallahu 'Anhu] tried answering back.
At this point the Prophet [SallAllahu Alayhi Wasallam] got up. Abu Bakr [Radhiallahu 'Anhu] asked him, “Are you displeased with me, O Messenger of Allah?” The Prophet [SallAllahu Alayhi Wasallam] replied, “No, but (when you remained silent) an angel came down from the heaven responding to this man’s talk. But the moment you started replying to that man, the angel went away and the devil sat down. And I cannot sit where the devil is sitting.” (Abu Dawud B41#4878)

May Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala) help us All in keeping away from time and energy wasting arguments, and allow us to be one of those who help others as well as themselves in following the guidance given in the Qur'an and Hadith in our daily manners. Ameen.

AS minta nasihat Malaysia

Kali pertama beliau melawat AS atas kapasiti Perdana Menteri ialah November lepas.

Semestinya kerajaan menimbang 'mengkaji' hubungan dengan AS," jelasnya.

"Masuk Bakul Angkat Sendiri"
